Mark Sundt

In his role as Chief AI Officer, Mark is responsible for defining and executing Stax’s artificial intelligence strategy to accelerate innovation, enhance operational performance, and unlock new value for customers and partners. He leads the integration of AI across products, platforms, and internal systems to drive smarter decision making, automation, and differentiated experiences in payments. 

Over a 46-year career in technology, he spent 17 years at Microsoft and held roles at IBM, advancing through a range of technical and leadership positions. He also played a pivotal role in the growth of Clearent by Xplor, helping expand transaction processing volume from $2 billion to more than $20 billion annually.

Mark earned his degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, building the strong technical foundation that continues to guide his leadership in innovation and applied AI.
